How the GoToCertify Academy handles your personal data: what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights. Version of 20 September 2026.
This notice explains how personal data is handled in the GoToCertify Academy, the learning platform at www.gotocertify.com. It is deliberately short. Everything that concerns the gotocertify.com website in general — website content, cookies used for browsing, links to other sites — is covered by our full Privacy Statement published on the website.
BITIL.COM, operating as GoToCertify, is the data controller.
For anything concerning your personal data, including the requests described below, write to exam@gotocertify.com.
We do not monitor you through your camera and we do not record your screen while you take an exam. If we ever introduce supervised exams, we will tell you what that involves and ask for your agreement separately, before it applies to you.
To give you access to the courses you are entitled to; to run and mark exams; to issue certificates and allow third parties to verify them; to keep the records our accreditation obligations require; and to keep the platform secure.
We process this data to perform the contract between us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) when we give you access to courses and exams, and to comply with our record-keeping obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Course and exam records, including certificates and the records that make them verifiable, are kept for three years and are then reviewed for deletion. No deletion is carried out automatically: each one is approved by a person first. Once a certificate record has been deleted, that certificate can no longer be verified through this platform.
Our hosting provider stores the platform and its database. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
The quickest route is the data request tool in your profile on this platform, which records your request and our reply. You can also write to exam@gotocertify.com.
Every certificate carries a verification code. Anyone holding that code can confirm on this platform that the certificate is genuine. The verification page shows only what is needed to confirm authenticity.
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we publish a new version and ask you to read and accept it again. Your previous acceptance stays on record, with its date and the version it referred to.

These terms govern your use of the GoToCertify Academy, the learning platform at www.gotocertify.com. Purchases made on the gotocertify.com website are governed by the terms published there. How your personal data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy, which you are asked to accept alongside these terms.

Your account is personal. Register with accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and do not let anyone else use your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has gained access to it.
One person, one account. Accounts are not transferable.
Access is granted when you buy a course, redeem a coupon code, or accept an invitation. How long your access lasts is set out in the agreement or the purchase under which it was granted.
While sitting an exam you must not: receive help from anyone else; use material or devices that the exam rules do not allow; copy, photograph, record or republish exam questions; or let another person sit the exam in your place.
If we find that an exam was not taken under these conditions, the attempt may be annulled, any certificate issued for it may be withdrawn, and your account may be suspended.
Whether a failed or annulled exam can be retaken, and on what terms, is set out in the agreement or the purchase under which the exam was made available to you.
A certificate is issued when you pass the corresponding exam. Each one carries a verification code that allows a third party to confirm it is genuine. We keep the record that makes that verification possible for three years, and we may withdraw a certificate obtained in breach of these terms.
Course materials, questions and documents on this platform are protected and are provided for your personal study. You may not copy, share, publish or resell them.
We do our best to keep the platform available, and we carry out maintenance when needed. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and access may be suspended for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You may ask to close your account at any time; what happens to your data afterwards is explained in the Privacy Policy.
If these terms change in a way that affects you, we publish a new version and ask you to accept it before continuing to use the platform.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. The courts of Avellino, Italy, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
