Sixty questions in sixty minutes, closed book, and a pass mark of sixty per cent — thirty-six right answers. One question a minute is the whole story of this paper, and it is the reason people fail it.
PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation (Version 7) is the entry point to the PRINCE2 7 scheme and the usual route into Practitioner.

Every other exam in the families we cover gives you more time than questions. PRINCE2 7 Foundation gives you exactly the same number of each, and that single ratio changes how you have to sit it.

Sixty seconds is enough to read a question, recognise what it is testing and answer it. It is not enough to reason your way from first principles. The paper rewards recall, and recall only.
The practical consequence: decide in advance that you will not linger. Mark anything that takes more than about seventy-five seconds, move on, and come back with whatever is left. Twenty-four wrong answers is your margin — a generous one, but only if you reach question sixty.
PRINCE2 7 is not a re-badge of the 6th edition. The syllabus keeps the familiar spine — seven principles, seven practices (formerly themes), seven processes — and adds material that did not exist before:
If you studied the 6th edition and are converting from memory, those four are where your memory will not help you.
Accredited training is optional for PRINCE2 7 Foundation. PeopleCert sells a self-study Exam Bundle with the official manual and the exam voucher, alongside its eLearning packages. Nobody withholds your result for want of a course certificate.
That is worth saying plainly because it is not true everywhere. In the ITIL® v5 scheme, every module above Foundation requires an accredited course and the result is held until proof of completion arrives. PRINCE2 has no such gate at either level.
Read the manual once, then stop reading. A closed-book recall paper is won by retrieval practice, not by re-reading. Cover the page and say the seven principles aloud.
Learn the three sevens cold. Principles, practices, processes. If you can list all twenty-one without hesitating, a large slice of the paper is already answered.
