Training, exams and certification
The Open Group runs two different systems, and which one you need depends on the credential. TOGAF 9 holders are in The Open Group's own directory of certified people. Holders of the 10th Edition credentials — EA Foundation, EA Practitioner, Business Architecture — are found through their Credly digital badge.

The Open Group keeps a directory of certified people for its knowledge-based certifications: TOGAF, ArchiMate, IT4IT, Open FAIR, Open Agile Architecture and DPBoK. It is free and needs no account.
| How you search | Fill in as many fields as you know; at least one is required |
|---|---|
| How it matches | Exactly, ignoring upper and lower case — a misspelt surname returns nothing |
| Private listings | A certified person can hide their entry or limit what it shows |
| The way round it | The candidate can give you a Personal Confirmation Code, which unlocks their entry in a second search |
For TOGAF EA Foundation, TOGAF EA Practitioner and TOGAF Business Architecture Foundation, The Open Group issues a digital badge on Credly, and lists badge holders in its Credly directory, filtered by badge name.
To check one specific badge, open the badge link the candidate shares, or use The Open Group's badge verification page. A badge hosted by Credly shows who issued it, to whom, and when.
Absence proves nothing. Both the directory and the Credly listing depend on what the certified person has chosen to make public. An empty result means you need the Personal Confirmation Code or the badge link, not that the person is not certified.
TOGAF 9 Foundation, TOGAF 9 Certified, TOGAF EA Foundation and TOGAF EA Practitioner are four different credentials. TOGAF 9 Certified is the full level, and it is the one that opens the bridge exam to the 10th Edition; TOGAF 9 credentials do not expire. The details are in the TOGAF 10 certification path.
